• 2 tbs Freshzest Thyme - savoury, Finely Chopped
  • 350 grams Unsalted Butter
  • 2/3 cup Caster Sugar
  • 2 3/4 cups Plain Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Thyme Shortbread Cookies.


Preparation Time: 20 Minutes + 1 hour

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Serving Size: 3 dozen

  1. In an electric mixer combine sugar and butter. Add Thyme, salt, flour and mix until well combined. Place the mixture/dough into a bowl and place in fridge for an hour.
  2. Turn on oven too 190 degrees Celsius, cover 3 trays or more (As many as you require depending on size of cookies) with baking paper.
  3. Dust a bench with some flour and roll out the dough to a 1/3 inch thickness. Cut out with cookie cutters and place on to trays.
  4. Place in oven and bake for about 8 minutes or until golden brown. Place on wire rack and cool.
