• 125ml good olive oil
  • 60ml red wine vinegar
  • 100gm onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 punnets Freshzest Basil – Green, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

Spicy Basil Sauce.

  1. Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake to mix. Taste and adjust seasoning. Stand at room temperature for 2 hours before use.
  2. Serve with grilled meat – also great with pasta.
