• 1kg Mashing Potatoes

  • 1 Leek, Slice up the white section
  • 100g Butter
  • Splash Milk
  • 2 tbs Freshzest Sage, Roughly chopped

Sage and Leek Mashed Potato.

Cooking Time: 15-20 Minutes

Serving Size: 6

  1. Peel Potatoes, cut into quarters, place in a saucepan, cover with water, add 1/2 tsp of salt and cook until soft.
  2. Place leek in a pan with 50g butter on low to medium heat and caramelize, ensuring that it doesn’t burn. When done, remove from heat and mix with the chopped sage.
  3. When the potatoes are soft and ready for mashing, drain, add a splash of milk and the rest of the butter to the potatoes in the saucepan. Mash or blend thoroughly until smooth.
  4. Add Leek and Sage mix to potato and mash or blend further.
  5. Serve.
