• 700 grams Prawns, Uncooked, Peeled (Including tails and Deveined
  • 1 1/2 cups lightly packed Freshzest Basil – Green, Torn
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced or Finely Chopped
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 punnet Cherry Tomatoes, Halved
  • 250 grams Linguine
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Olive Oil

Prawn, Tomato and Basil Pasta.


Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Serving Size: 4

  1. Season Prawns with Salt and Pepper and add them to a large wok or fry pan with some oil over a high heat. Cook them through, until opaque and then place in a bowl, cover with with tin foil and sit aside.
  2. In the same large wok or fry pan over a medium heat, add 1 tbs olive oil and the garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds or when it starts to get fragrant and slightly brown. Add Canned Tomatoes and a pinch of salt, simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring every now and then.
  3. At the same time, put the linguine on to cook in a large pot.
  4. Just before the pasta is cooked and the sauce is ready, add basil, tomatoes and prawns to the sauce and mix well.
  5. Drain pasta when al dente or cooked to package instructions and return to pot. Add the sauce and toss.
  6. Serve.
