• 1 1/2 cups Sparkling Apple Juice
  • 3 Sprigs Freshzest Rosemary
  • 1/4 cup Caster Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
  • To serve Yoghurt or Cream

Caramelized Apples with Rosemary.


Preparation Time: 10-20 Minutes

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

  1. Preheat oven 230 degree’s celcius. Place juice and rosemary sprigs in a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Remove from heat and stand for 10 minutes, remove rosemary.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add apples slices and toss. Cover a baking tray with non-stick paper and arrange apple slices on tray. Place tray in oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, flip each piece and bake in oven for a further 5 minutes. Remove tray and gently cover the apple slices with the juice mixture. Place tray back in oven and bake for another 5 minutes or until apples are soft, glossy and the edges turn slightly golden.
  3. Serve apples with yoghurt or cream.
